MCD-Smurfssets
McDonalds produced special smurfsets for the anniversary of McDonalds in Germany and The Netherlands in 1996. Almost the same set appeared in the UK in 1997
In 1998 they sold in the children's Happy Meals special-made smurfs for the 40th anniversary of the smurfs
First the normal PVC-smurfs appeared at McDonalds, there were a lot of these smurfs made, they are still for sale at trade-fairs and fleemarkets in Europe. In the USA are they harder to get but keep looking! Over a million were made of these sets!
New: 2002, McDonalds released a special serie smurfs (hard plastic) in Januari at the happy meals in Holland
(The price for the Happy meals toys was app. $1.50)

all these smurfs were produced for McDonalds as 25th anniversary-set
from McDonalds in The Netherlands & Germany. |
This is the same McDonalds- set as there were sold in the Netherlands & Germany in 1996. In the UK was this one sold in 1997, the only difference was the '25-smurf', he was replaced by the 'smurf with the happy-mealbox'. |
